Zambelli Tassetto successfully represents Gruppo Zanotto before the Tax Tribunal
The Tax Tribunal of the Province of Vicenza, further to Zambelli Tassetto’s appeal, vacated the decision of the Tax Authority in respect of the modification of a quarry classification from agricultural land to productive use on the ground that the reasoning for the Tax Authority lacked the necessary level of explanation for the taxpayer to be able to understand the procedure followed. Furthermore, it was held that a quarry could not be classified as an industrial asset since there was no building on the premises. As a result of the decision no local land tax will have to be paid in respect of the quarry’s area.
